Through WGCNA, we found a significant positive association between the population of very small (0–40 μm2) and very large (25,600–36,000 μm2) adipocyte size classes in PER♀ with coexpressed genes in the “darkolivegreen” module, which were associated with diabetic cardiomyopathy, type 1 diabetes mellitus, and RAP1 signaling, whereas another module, “lightgreen,” enriched for AGE-RAGE signaling pathway in diabetic complication was significantly positively correlated with only very large adipocytes (12,800–25,600 μm2) in the PER♂ gene network. This evidence concerns the gene RENBP and diabetes mellitus.
