Our preliminary data indicate that the activation of TLR4/NF-κB and Egr-1 signaling in the OVA-induced murine model of chronic asthma was dramatically abolished by HNG, implying that the protective function of HNG against asthma might be closely associated with the inhibition of TLR4/NF-κB and Egr-1 signaling. The gene discussed is NFKB1; the disease is chronic asthma.
