By using a GWAS approach, SNPs near TJP2, PCBP3, CADM2, and TRPM3 were identified to be associated with myopia or refractive errors (Meng et al., 2012; Pickrell et al., 2016; Tedja et al., 2018; Tideman et al., 2021), and HMG20A and PPP2R2B were associated with axial length and corneal astigmatism, respectively (Shah and Guggenheim, 2018; Fuse et al., 2022). This evidence concerns the gene PCBP3 and myopia.
