CD4 and AIDS: Similarly, the odds of a patient reporting to the health facility at WHO stage IV (AIDS stage) with CD4 count < 200 cells/mm3 at treatment initiation was six times higher (OR = 6.31; 95% CI = 1.83 – 21.74) compared with patients who reported to the health facility at WHO stage I. The odds of a patient who is >60 years old recording a CD4 count < 200 cells/mm3 (AIDS) at treatment initiation was also higher (OR = 8.44; 95% CI = 1.68 – 42.39) when compared with patients who reported to the health facility between the ages of 18 – 30 years (Table 3).
