Furano[2,3-b]naphtho-4,9-dione 12b, isolated from Tabebuia avellanedae, shows a preference for inhibition of cancer cell growth over normal cells, with STAT3 inhibitory mechanisms proposed [69], while other FNQ natural products inhibit IDO1 (see Section 3.1.3) [70]. The gene discussed is IDO1; the disease is cancer.
