Our initial work on the role of intrathecal production of CXCL13 in inflammatory demyelination was in Theiler’s murine encephalomyelitis virus-induced demyelinating disease (TMEV-IDD), a model of progressive MS [34], where we found that both CXCL13 transcript levels in the spinal cord and CSF CXCL13 protein levels were strongly upregulated [25]. Here, CXCL13 is linked to myeloid sarcoma.
