Given the observation that CtBP2 was overexpressed in mouse and human colorectal adenomas and that the inducible overexpression of CtBP2 partially restored stemness in ER-stress-induced LS174T cells, these findings suggest that CtBP2 is indeed implicated in regulating stemness [163] and that its expression may be regulated, in part, by the ER stress pathway.
