Studies performed on hASCs and hBM-MSCs have shown that OXT is able to stimulate osteogenic differentiation by inhibiting adipogenesis, highlighting the correlation between osteoporosis and reduced OXT levels in mice plasma, and demonstrating that the administration of OXT in ovariectomized mice induces osteogenic differentiation and allows the recovery of the biomechanical properties of bone [32]. This evidence concerns the gene OXT and osteoporosis.
