In acute myeloid leukemia, the FLT3 gene (which encodes a class III receptor tyrosine kinase that regulates hematopoiesis) is frequently mutated, and FLT3-mutant cells are able to promote the Wnt/β-catenin pathway by activating Integrin αvβ3/PI3K/Akt/GSK-3β signaling [32]. This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and acute myeloid leukemia.
