In a recent study using comprehensive genomic profiling of metastatic and relapsed salivary gland tumors, Ross et al. found frequent genomic alterations in CDKN2A (76%), CDKN2B (45%), which are not currently targetable, and less frequent alterations in P53 (9%), PTEN (9%), FBXW7 (8%), ATM (7%), BRAF (5%), and NF1 (5%) [24]. The gene discussed is NF1; the disease is tumor of salivary gland.
