Epidermal growth factor (EGF) receptor (EGFR) mutations are the most common driver mutations of LUAD that promote survival and proliferation of cancer cells, and EGFR-tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) therapies are effective in this subset of LUAD cases, but acquired resistance to these TKIs is inevitable [15,16]. The gene discussed is EGFR; the disease is cancer.
