Recently, we could demonstrate in vitro that HIF1α activation in human dermal microvascular ECs (HDMECs) exposed to hypoxia inhibits the transcription of miR-186-5p (previous name: miR-186), which may explain the downregulation of this miRNA in TECs of human non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) samples [49]. Here, HIF1A is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
