CD14 and ovarian carcinoma: Soluble IL-6 receptor (IL-6sR) and JAK-STAT signaling pathway have been found to promote differentiation of human monocytes into the CD14+CD163+ and CD206+ TAMs, respectively, when monocytes are co-cultured with ovarian cancer SKOV3 cells, and the differentiated TAMs acquire the ability to promote SKOV3 cell proliferation and invasion [27].
