Interestingly, besides the above known related factors, we also found that a higher level of the IGF-1 index was strongly associated with a lower prevalence of low bone mass, both in the vertebra lumbalis and the neck of the femur, independently of age, gender, duration, BMI, hypertension, dyslipidemia, diabetes, level of ALT, creatinine, FT3, and F24 pm. This evidence concerns the gene IGF1 and hypertensive disorder.
