The combination of atezolizumab (anti-programmed death ligand 1 [PD-L1] antibody) and bevacizumab (anti-vascular endothelial growth factor [VEGF] antibody) in the IMbrave150 study resulted in a median overall survival of 19.2 months in 336 patients with advanced unresectable HCC [33, 34], and should now be offered to all eligible patients as first-line treatment [19, 35]. This evidence concerns the gene CD274 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
