Therefore, in this study, we determined the central nervous regulation mechanism of acupuncture intervention on intestinal functional activity in a rat model of IBS, and further explored the role and mechanism of the central CRH nervous system on intestinal functional activity in IBS rats with respect to acupuncture intervention, to analyze whether acupuncture regulates intestinal functional activity through the central CRH nervous system and provide a scientific basis for the relationship among the meridians, viscera, and brain. This evidence concerns the gene CRH and irritable bowel syndrome.
