In thegeneral IVF population, the long GnRH-agonist may yield a higher number ofoocytes, CPR and LBR.9,13 Meanwhile, in womenwith polycystic ovary syndrome who have a poor ovarian response,meta-analyses have shown that there is no significant difference in thetotal number of oocytes and mature oocytes retrieved.9,22 Ourreview found heterogeneous results among endometriosis patients similar tothe results from meta-analyses on other infertile IVF populations. This evidence concerns the gene GNRH1 and endometriosis.
