In both the overweight (or obesity) with NAFLD group and the lean with NAFLD group, the baseline levels of fasting blood glucose, triglycerides, total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, alanine aminotransferase, blood uric acid and TyG index were higher than those of any group without NAFLD, while the high-density lipoprotein cholesterol was lower than that of any group in the without NAFLD group (Table 1).
