BRAF and thyroid gland undifferentiated (anaplastic) carcinoma: The combination of dabrafenib and trametinib, a selective BRAF and MEK 1/2 inhibitor respectively, was FDA approved in 2018 for the treatment of locally advanced or metastatic BRAF V600E-mutant anaplastic thyroid cancer (ATC) and has significantly changed the treatment paradigm of these tumors which were previously viewed as a death sentence (34–37).
