In the case of comparing clusters with each other, overlap with existing chordoma cluster markers was less striking—only KIT and CDKN2A were overexpressed in chordoma I. Other genes, related to this cluster, were skewed towards immune infiltration (HLA proteins, leukocyte markers, cytokines) and high KIT expression can be also considered to be related to immune cell signaling. The gene discussed is KIT; the disease is chordoma.
