The expressions of the CDKN1B gene were significantly elevated in the tumor tissues of cholangiocarcinoma (CHOL), esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), head and neck squamous cell carcinoma–human papillomavirus± (HNSC–HPV±), kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), and STAD, as displayed in Fig. 1A. However, in several tumor tissues from kidney chromophobe (KICH), kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), prostate adenocarcinoma (PRAD), skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), thyroid carcinoma (THCA), and UCEC, the level of CDKN1B was noticeably decreased, respectively. This evidence concerns the gene CDKN1B and cutaneous melanoma.
