In a randomised clinical trial carried out in 43 subjects with MS who consumed 400 mg of green coffee extracts (186 mg of chlorogenic acids per capsule) twice per day for 8 weeks, in spite of significant reductions in SBP, fasting blood glucose, insulin resistance, waist circumference and subjective appetite compared to the placebo group, the authors did not find any statistically significant differences in HbA1c and lipid profile parameters [58]. This evidence concerns the gene INS and myeloid sarcoma.
