CTx and osteocalcin, two indicators of osteoporosis risk in postmenopausal women, were decreased by −0.03 ± 0.09 ng/mL (p = 0.037) and −2.08 ± 3.09 ng/mL (p < 0.0001); particularly, the change in osteocalcin was significant even after the Bonferroni correction with medium effect size (d = 0.306), implying a reduced bone loss post intervention (Table 4). This evidence concerns the gene CYP27A1 and osteoporosis.
