Among patients with biopsy-proven NAFLD, the hazard risks were significantly increased in the intermediate albumin group, compared with the high albumin group, for death or OLT (3.6), liver-related death (11.2), HCC (4.6), decompensated cirrhosis (8.2), and gastroesophageal varices (6.2).
