A diet–genotype interaction was observed in the DHA: AA ratio in the blood pools only (plasma and RBC, p = 0.021 and p < 0.000, respectively), with a significantly higher ratio in APOE4 carriers in the HF FO, HF FLAV, and HF FO + FLAV diet groups compared to their corresponding APOE3 dietary group. Here, APOE is linked to hydrops fetalis.
