We found that Ngfr expression enhanced proliferation and neurogenesis in both healthy (Fig. 2a–f and Supplementary Figs. 5, 3; Supplementary Data 4; by 2.99-fold and 2.08-fold, respectively) and AD mouse brains (Fig. 2g–l, Supplementary Fig. 5, and Fig. 3; Supplementary Data 4; by 4.85-fold and 7.32-fold), validating the Ngfr-mediated molecular changes in astroglia (Fig. 1). This evidence concerns the gene NGFR and Alzheimer disease.
