ISLR knockdown can promote apoptosis and suppress proliferation, migration, invasion, and glycolysis of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cells by inactivating the interleukin-6 (IL-6)/Janus kinase (JAK)/signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) pathway (6), and also inhibit the proliferation, migration, and invasion of colon cancer cells (7). This evidence concerns the gene ISLR and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
