Usually, Ki67 in IHC is used for routine pathological diagnosis, but Ki-67 has been used as a predictor of early clinical progression and prognosis in NHL as early as the Southwest Tumor Collaborative Group in the United States (26),and Kawaguchi et al. (27) studies have shown that the high expression of Ki67 (>30%) is often associated with shorter overall survival and is a useful marker for patients with high-grade FL in choosing treatment or predicting prognosis. The gene discussed is MKI67; the disease is non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
