There is general agreement that high-titer monospecific anti-DFS70 antibodies tend to be associated with non-SARD conditions, including certain gynecologic syndromes, atopic disorders, skin disorders (psoriasis and alopecia areata), fibromyalgia/chronic pain syndrome/chronic fatigue syndrome, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, and prostate cancer (38, 40–42). This evidence concerns the gene PSIP1 and alopecia areata.
