The patients may feel overwhelmed with the demands of self‐management, eventually get frustrated, fatigued, angry, burn out, and in poor mood, due to the difficulty in adapting to the complicated routine, nonadherence to insulin treatment is observed in many patients, which can be associated to psychological barrier linked with fear of needles/injections, insulin initiation, hypoglycemia late complications, and obsessive behavior or overdosing. This evidence concerns the gene INS and Hypoglycemia.
