Closed-loop insulin delivery consists of an algorithm that utilizes real-time sensor glucose levels from a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) to direct insulin delivery via an insulin pump.1 Evidence from randomized controlled trials (RCTs) has shown that closed-loop insulin delivery can improve glycemic control in adults, accompanied by a reduction in the risk of hypoglycemia.2 In children and adolescents, similar improvements in glycemic control have been demonstrated, while not increasing the risk of hypoglycemia.3 Here, INS is linked to Hypoglycemia.
