Patients presenting fever, constitutional symptoms, polymyalgia rheumatica, high CRP and ESR levels, and low hemoglobin had a reduced risk of both visual and cerebrovascular complications, whether these complications are studied as a combined endpoint [4, 7–9, 13, 19, 20, 23, 24], or whether only CIE are studied [11, 15, 26]. This evidence concerns the gene CRP and polymyalgia rheumatica.
