CRP and neoplasm: In multivariable analyses, higher U-TXM excretion was independently associated with tumour type, specifically the colorectal and gastro-oesophageal cohorts compared to the breast cohort (both P < 0.001), BMI ≥ 35 kg/m2 (P = 0.008), neutrophils ≥5.0 × 109/l (P = 0.003), platelets ≥350 × 109/l (P = 0.027) and C-reactive protein (CRP) > 5 mg/L (P = 0.046) (Table 2A).
