TFEB and neoplasm: These rare tumours are defined by a translocation of transcription factor EB (TFEB) on chromosome 6 and most often, but not exclusively, chromosome 11 (t(6;11)(p21;q12) translocation), or by amplification and consequent overexpression of the TFEB gene.2 In general, TFEB-translocated tumours have a favorable prognosis, but rare metastatic tumours have been described.
