Together with the decreases in blood pressure and urinary noradrenaline excretion in SHRSPs in which RVLM astrocytes were transduced with the Agtrap gene (Fig. 3d−f), the intensity of AT1R signalling in RVLM astrocytes seems to be critically involved in the pathogenesis of hypertension and sympathetic hyperactivity in SHRSPs. This evidence concerns the gene AGTRAP and hypertensive disorder.
