The administration of FX06 at different time points in a mouse model of acute kidney injury elicited by the clamping of the renal artery for 30 min followed by reperfusion significantly reduced endothelial activation and lowered the tissue infiltration of neutrophils as well as tissue levels of neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (NGAL) [90,91,92]. This evidence concerns the gene LCN2 and acute kidney injury.
