Numerous studies have highlighted the inhibitory role of autophagy in tumor metastasis across various cancer types, including osteosarcoma (OS).22,32 VAMP8 was considered as a crucial protein to promote autophagosome-lysosome fusion and the autophagy flux.33 Accordingly, we examined whether the overexpression of VAMP8 promoted autophagy in OS cells. The gene discussed is VAMP8; the disease is osteosarcoma.
