A possible relationship between type I IFNs and CD169-expression on Mo-M was supported by mRNA data from primary human breast tumors, where mRNA expression for the gene SIGLEC1 encoding CD169 significantly correlated with IFNA4 (P=6.25e-04) and IFNB1 (P=5.53e-41) (Supplementary Figure 1C). This evidence concerns the gene IFNA4 and breast neoplasm.
