In the DREAM-seq trial, patients with untreated BRAF-mutant metastatic melanoma were randomly assigned to receive either a combination of nivolumab 1 mg/kg plus ipilimumab 3 mg/kg 3-weekly for four doses and then nivolumab 240 mg maintenance every 2 weeks (arm A) or dabrafenib 150 mg twice a day plus trametinib 2 mg once daily (arm B) and at disease progression were enrolled to receive the alternative therapy (29). This evidence concerns the gene BRAF and metastatic melanoma.
