Considering the close relationship between DEPTOR and mTOR, DEPTOR is thought to play an important role in the pathogenesis of many cancers, and it was found that DEPTOR overexpression significantly inhibits mTOR and activates the PI3K/AKT pathway, which is required for OS cell proliferation, migration, invasion, angiogenic mimetic formation and survival (Figure 4E) (97). Here, DEPTOR is linked to cancer.
