In the multivariable analysis among the total population for both suggested thresholds, the male gender, BMI ≥25 kg/m2 (overweight and obese), non‐HDL‐C ≥3.37 mmol/L, FPG ≥5.55 mmol/L (prediabetes and T2DM), high TG, and lipid‐lowering medications were significantly associated with an increased level of abnormal ALT. This evidence concerns the gene GPT and prediabetes syndrome.
