We observed that lower levels of serum IGF-1 (odds ratio [OR] = 0.99, 95% confidence interval [CI] = 0.99–1.00, p = 0.010), serum IGF-1 < 197.03 ng/mL (OR = 0.36, 95% CI = 0.17–0.75) p = 0.007), and serum triglycerides (OR = 0.77, 95% CI = 0.59–0.99, p = 0.044) (Table 3) were related to anemia. The gene discussed is IGF1; the disease is anemia (phenotype).
