We further analyzed the human liver with or without nonalcoholic steatohepatitis hepatitis (NASH) using a GEO dataset[9] and found a negative correlation between the mRNA level ofTRAF2 and ER stress signaling [including the mRNA levels ofCHOP (DDIT3),ERdj4 (DNAJB9), andBiP (HSPA5)] and lipid metabolism signaling (including the mRNA levels ofSREBF1,DGAT2,ACACB,FASN, andSCD) (Figure 1H). The gene discussed is DNAJB9; the disease is metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis.
