While in breast cancer, miR-182-5p was reported as a tumor promoter and involved in breast cancer progression by targeting CMTM7 in our previous study (Chen et al. 2023).miR-142-5p and miR-142-3p are two single-stranded miRNAs derived from the same RNA duplex and were first reported by Wu et al. in 2007 (Wu et al. 2007).miR-142-5p and miR-142-3p are both reported to play essential roles in cancer initiation and progression (Pahlavan et al. 2020). Here, CMTM7 is linked to breast carcinoma.
