Through verification using independent samples, the combination of microbial ratios of Fusobacterium nucleatum/Bifidobacterium (Fn/Bb) and Fusobacterium nucleatum/Faecalibacterium prausnitzii (Fn/Fp) was found to detect colon cancer with a specificity of 90.2% and a sensitivity of 90% [14]. Here, FN1 is linked to colonic neoplasm.
