Besides, the levels of 21 tear cytokines in male acute SJS/TEN patients were all not significantly elevated compared with male healthy volunteers (P value > 0.05), while GM-CSF, CXCL11, IFN-γ, TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-5, IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, IL-17A, IL-21, IL-23, CCL4, and CCL20 were significantly elevated in female acute SJS/TEN patients compared with female healthy volunteers, as shown in supplementary Fig. 1. The gene discussed is IL5; the disease is Schwartz-Jampel syndrome.
