Auto-antibodies against angiotensin converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) and endothelial cell proteins are known to correlate with both the presence and severity of vasculitis diseases including systemic lupus erythematosus, anti-phospholipid syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, systemic sclerosis, and Kawasaki disease (6–9). This evidence concerns the gene ACE2 and rheumatoid arthritis.
