MBNL1 and Myotonia: In the HSALR, a mouse model that expresses a human actinin transgene containing CTG repeats in their skeletal muscle (Mankodi et al., 2000), different types of ASOs were able to promote RNA foci reduction, MBNL1 redistribution, correction of abnormal splicing, and myotonia improvement (Mulders et al., 2009; Wheeler et al., 2009; Leger et al., 2013; Wojtkowiak-Szlachcic et al., 2015; Hsieh et al., 2018; Klein et al., 2019).
