The aim of this survey was to explore the effects of TB infection at different sites on anthropometric indicators, malnutrition and anemia incidence in children in Southwest China.In this survey,the BAZs, HAZs, and concentrations of Hb among children with TB were decreased, the prevalence of malnutrition and anemia was 58.7% (216/368)and 58.8% (190/323), respectively.These findings suggest that nutritional status is a serious public health problem among children with TBM in Southwest China. This evidence concerns the gene GSTM1 and anemia (phenotype).
