Mutations in CSF3R are common in patients with chronic neutrophilic leukemia or atypical chronic myeloid leukemia (Maxson et al., 2013), and this gene has been also detected under positive selection in four long‐lived mammals (LRT p value = 5.00 × 10−4). This evidence concerns the gene CSF3R and chronic myelogenous leukemia, BCR-ABL1 positive.
